The use of medicinal plants can be cured with natural substances, which are unknown side effects, as these remedies have shown their effectiveness for centuries.
Medicinal plants can be consumed in one of the following:
teas, capsules, syrups, nutritional supplements in powder, packet, decoction, infusion, dried leaves, coffee spoon
leaves, flowers, bark, roots, active principles of plants, aromatic molecules, essential oils.
The decoction is a method of extracting active ingredients of a preparation plant usually dissolved in boiling water, which requires that such substances are not sensitive to high temperature. It applies to hard parts of the plant roots, seeds, bark, wood.
The maceration is to soak a plant in cold water (salt, for example) for several hours, days or weeks as for olives. Maceration allows the conservation of the plant. or the extraction of flavor.
The infusion is a method of extracting active ingredients or flavors of a plant dissolved in a liquid boiling initially and allow to cool. That, too, drinks prepared by this method, such as teas, tea, for example.
A tea is a beverage with medicinal properties obtained by maceration, decoction or infusion of plants: flowers, leaves, stems, roots, in hot water or cold.
